Bring your wiggliest toddlers to the library for an active storytime! We'll get up and go but we'll also sneak in some books. Stories alternate with songs and rhymes that incorporate a huge parachute!

A half hour of stories, songs, and movement that build early literacy skills. It's a blend of fun and education for children birth through kindergarten and their caregivers.

Bring a blanket or chair and join us for storytime on the lawn this summer. In inclement weather, the storytime will move inside to the storytheater on Level 2.

The People Mover Travel Trainer will teach you how to:

Meet with sailors from the USS Constitution, the oldest commissioned warship afloat. Try your hand at some sailors knots and learn more about the history of the United States Navy.

To be listened to is a moment of being received without having to prove anything. And who doesn’t need that?

Meet and pet goats from The Tiny Home(stead), a family farm in Chugiak, and learn about what it takes to raise animals and run a farm in Alaska.

The Library Advisory Board (LAB) acts as the planning body for library activities and special projects and makes recommendations to the administration and assembly. The board also reviews annual budgets and operations.
