Enjoy a 30-minute, all-ages storytime plus free play and time to browse the library before we are officially open for the day.

Have a spinning wheel or drop spindle, and want to join other spinners for chat and sharing? Or perhaps you're just interested in trying it out? Come join us at the library near the front windows.

Stop by for some free build time -- bring your imagination!

Drop in for a self guided storytime experience. Different stations will encourage you to READ, SING, TALK, WRITE, and PLAY together through a storytime theme. Activities are designed to encourage early literacy skills and be fun! 

Come have fun at the library with music, movement, and simple instruments. Introduce your little one to all things music, from shakers to clapping. Good singing voice not required!

Twenty minutes of short stories, songs and lots of repetition to build early literacy skills for children 3 and under and their caregivers.

Every month this fall, the library hosts a hangout for homeschool families. Come meet other homeschoolers, make an art project, and learn more about art books and resources from the library.

Join us for the Loussac Book Club discussion! Each month we will choose a new book to read from a variety of topics and genres.

Twenty minutes of nursery rhymes, songs, fingerplays and action for infants, birth to 18 months, and their caregivers.

Use our Wii, Xbox One, board games, and card games to build strategic thinking and good sporting conduct. Meet new gaming friends, too!

Every month this winter, the library hosts a hangout for homeschool families. Come meet other homeschoolers, make an art project, and learn more about art books and resources from the library.

In need of volunteer hours? Every Thursday, we'll be hosting drop-in times with projects for you to help the library!

Join Anchorage Public Library for an afternoon of TEENS ONLY Magic the Gathering. All skill levels welcome. All formats welcome.

A relaxed environment for group study, socializing, or gaming. Ask to use our board games, Chromebooks, Xbox, or Wii! 

Best for ages 8+ with caregiver, but anyone may try. Note: all projects use small parts and patience.
