Join us for a half-hour of stories, songs, and more to build early literacy skills; a blend of fun and education for children birth through kindergarten & their caregivers.

Drop in for a self guided storytime experience. Different stations will encourage you to READ, SING, TALK, WRITE, and PLAY together through a storytime theme. Activities are designed to encourage early literacy skills and be fun! 

Preschool storytime is a half hour of stories, songs, and movement that build early literacy skills and prepare your preschooler ages three to five for kindergarten.

Anchorage Public Library is collaborating with the Thomas Memorial Library for this unusual continent-spanning virtual conversation serie

Join us for a special non-fiction storytime where we introduce a variety of STEM topics through books and hands-on activities! Best for ages 3-6

Twenty minutes of short stories and songs for children 3 and under and their caregivers.

Approximately 30 minutes of stories, songs, and rhymes followed by a family craft or activity. Ideal for children up to age 5 with caregiver, but all families are welcome.

Time especially for seniors to meet with library staff one-on-one for technology coaching, community resources, or help with other library questions. 

Fun with phonics, sight words, letter recognition, and more! We will have a variety of games and activities to encourage children as they practice those early reading skills. Ages 4 to 6.

Join us to create your own short stop motion animation video! Stop motion animation is moving images created by filming or taking a picture of an object and moving it slightly between each frame.

Pop in and build with Lego bricks, Duplos, Keva planks, and more!

Try out a new technique and/or make a masterpiece. Supplies provided. Keep all the art you make! No experience needed-- no judgement allowed. 

Get creative and make a work of art! A variety of art supplies will be available.

Try out a new technique and/or make a masterpiece. Supplies provided-- keep all that you make. Ideal for ages 6+ with caregiver. Projects may be messy!
