Best for ages 6+ with caregiver, but anyone may try. Skill level: ability to use scissors independently. Projects may use small parts.
October 4: Noisemakers. Make a variety of noisy instruments, including the bee buzzer, the chicken squawker, and straw kazoo.
October 11: Kumihimo. Weave a bracelet or cord using a cardboard disc as a guide.
October 18: Hagfish Festival! Celebrate Earth’s biodiversity and the humble hagfish with a presentation + craft on International Hagfish Day.
October 25: Jumping Jacks. Create a jointed, moveable, paper jumping jack toy!
