Join Park Rangers for an engaging exploration of STEM topics, featuring fascinating discussions on everything from Alaskan dinosaurs to sea otters and beyond!

Skill level: requires basic reading and writing ability. 

Learn how to write a letter or thank-you note that will make someone smile, then decorate your own cards or stationery. 

Get creative and make a work of art! We'll have a variety of art supplies to make whatever you want.

Enjoy an all-ages storytime plus time to browse the library before we're officially open. Arrive as early as 10:00 AM; call 907-343-4032 for entry. Stories start at 10:30 AM. All families welcome. 

Kids in grades K-4 (or any learner) take turns reading to a patient, nonjudgmental, Red Cross-certified therapy dog. Appointments are 15 minutes long. Sign up in person, beginning at 1:00 PM on the day of the event.

Reading sessions are 10-15 minutes long and are scheduled on a first come basis with the last session starting at 4:15 pm. Sign-up will open at 2:45 pm with the first session starting at 3 pm.

Meet the performers from Alaska Junior Theater's presentation of Peter & the Wolf, based on the musical composition written by Sergei Prokofiev.

Sign-up to read to a dog! Therapy dogs are patient listeners for new and struggling readers. Reading sessions are 15 minutes and can be reserved in-person starting at 3:45PM on the day of the event.
