Each program, we'll read about a specific artist and their techniques before creating some masterpieces of our own!

A half hour of stories, songs and movement that build early literacy skills and prepare your preschooler ages three to five for Kindergarten.

Approx. 30 minutes of stories, songs, & rhymes, plus free play or an activity. Best for ages 3-5, but all families are welcome.

Join Best Beginnings staff as they read some of their favorite titles from the Imagination Library collection. After the books and songs, families will be given a related take home activity. For families with children 5 and under.

Time especially for seniors to meet with library staff one-on-one for technology coaching, community resources, or help with other library questions. 

Celebrate Constitution Day with the Daughters of the American Revolution!

Bells will be ringing from sea to shining sea! Our bell ringers will be using hand bells to perform a selection of patriotic songs in the Library Atrium.

Come meet Alaskan authors in your own backyard! Whether you read books written for adults or for children (or both!), we have it all here. Bring books to be signed, or buy books from the author at the event.

Every month this fall, the library hosts a hangout for homeschool families. Come meet other homeschoolers, try out science activities, and learn more about STEM kits and other library science resources.

Join us for the Loussac Book Club discussion! Each month we will choose a new book to read from a variety of topics and genres.

Twenty minutes of nursery rhymes, songs, fingerplays and action for infants, birth to 18 months, and their caregivers.

Help us clear some space for our new materials. Donate any amount at the door and fill your own bags with books from our wide selection of gently-used donations and library discards. Pay what you wish-- just don't bring them back!  

Use our Wii, Xbox One, board games, and card games to build strategic thinking and good sporting conduct. Meet new gaming friends, too!

In need of volunteer hours? Every Thursday, we'll be hosting drop-in times with projects for you to help the library!

Has going to the movie theaters gotten too expensive? Never fear, just come on by and watch a movie at the library for free! Concessions provided.

Calling all STEM loving teens! Join us for an afternoon of learning and LEGO engineering fun.

A relaxed environment for group study, socializing, or gaming. Ask to use our board games, Chromebooks, Xbox, or Wii! 

A new tiny project every week. Projects use small parts, dexterity, and patience; best for ages 6+ with caregiver. Supplies provided.

Drop in to work at your own pace on a variety of computer topics, including email, Internet, and job searching.

Get creative and make a work of art! We'll have a specific technique to try but also a variety of art supplies to make whatever you want.

Join us this month for a discussion of the book The Gates of Europe: A History of Ukraine by Serhii Plosky. This is a revised and updated version that includes analysis of current events, how they came to be, and what the future holds. 

This is the book club for those that don’t want to be tied down. No assignments, no judgment – just read what you want!
