Are you an Anchorage teen in 9th-12th grade in need of volunteer hours? Come to the Loussac Library every Friday from 4-5:30pm! We have plenty of tasks that need your help to complete. 

The Eagle River Spinners meet monthly to spin fiber together. New members are always welcome. Never spun before? Stop by for a for a free demonstration as the Spinners work on their own amazing yarns. 

Get creative and make a work of art! We'll have a variety of art supplies to make whatever you want.

Bring a treasured dish and/or recipe to share with others. Try each others' food, swap recipes, share your stories about the dishes, and socialize.

We live in a time when effectively engaging in dialogues with people with whom we disagree seems harder than ever and more critical than ever.

Finish your masterpiece in a sociable environment. All ages, all projects welcome. We'd love to see what you are working on. 

Calling all young Pokémon fans! Join us at the library for an afternoon of Pokémon fun. Learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, meet other fans, and make your own Pokémon-themed crafts to take home.

Approximately 30 minutes of stories, songs, and rhymes ideal for children ages 3-5 with caregiver, followed by free play or an activity. This one is more story-based and less active than Parachute Storytime on Wednesdays.

Preschool storytime is a half hour of stories, songs and movement that build early literacy skills and prepare your preschooler ages three to five for Kindergarten.

Do you knit, crochet or sew or are you a beginner looking for a start? Join us for a weekly meetup and bring your ideas or current projects.

Library staff from the Community Resource Group can help you navigate paper or online applications and research what resources and opportunities best fit your needs.

Reading sessions are 10 minutes long and are scheduled on a first come basis with the last session starting at 4:20 pm. Sign-up will open at 3:15 pm with the first session starting at 3:30 pm.
